Big Reputation: Taylor Swift racks up another platinum album

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift’s Reputation album has gone platinum in the UK as her spectacular tour continues around the UK and Ireland.

Swift’s sixth album – released on Virgin EMI in the UK and Big Machine in the US – passed the 300,000 mark in midweek, and has now moved 301,129 copies, according to the Official Charts Company.

Reputation was the biggest-selling album in the US last year, moving a staggering 1.216 million copies in its first week alone. Swift kept the album off streaming for its first three weeks, although it has since become a big hit on the format.

Swift’s tour is in Dublin this weekend and moves on to London’s Wembley Stadium next weekend. To read Music Week’s review of the show, click here.
