Helen Gammons to lead new EMBA for creative industries

Helen Gammons has been added to the advisory board for Ashbridge Executive Education’s new EMBA for the creative industries, where she will help lead the course.

Designed to advance leadership skills and develop business acumen in the creative industries, the course is spearheaded by Lord Puttnam, film producer and owner of Atticus Education, an online education company. He has won 10 Oscars, 25 Baftas and a Palm D’Or during his 30-plus-year career as an independent film producer.

Now, industry expert Gammons will join the board to help lead the course, bringing over three decades’ worth of experience as an entrepreneur and author to the EMBA.

The programme will be based on the part-time EMBA that the school currently runs, with modules such as strategy, economics, finance, marketing, leadership, but will have a focus in on the creative industries. The programme has already received industry backing from directors and CEOs from the creative sectors, including Lord Puttnam, David Abraham, MT Rainey and Darren Henley.

“I am pleased that Ashridge can now benefit from my commitment to the sector and this body of MBA work, together with David Putnam we can build and deliver a programme that speaks with one voice across the sector,” Gammons said. “It has been a long stated passion of mine to provide a home for the music and creative sector to enable the delivery of strategic decision makers with broad business skills and a real depth of experience that can be amassed when we learn from each other to continue to lead the creative sector into an exciting future.”

Roger Delves, dean of qualifications at Ashridge Executive Education, added: “I am very pleased to have Helen working with us at Ashridge in the development of this programme as having her expertise can only further enhance the programme and the experience for the cohort joining us in October.”
