Direct-to-fan music platform PledgeMusic has highlighted the increasingly important role of pre-order packages, having played a pivotal part in helping an array of acts achieve Top 10 success in the Official Albums Chart in recent weeks.

Throughout September and early October, PledgeMusic has been running a variety of pre-order campaigns for the likes of Divine Comedy, KT Tunstall, Pixies, Marillion and Passenger (aka Mike Rosenberg), working with independent label Cooking Vinyl on the releases.
