Pale Waves, Sigrid and more to play BBC Sound Of 2018 live show

Music Week coverstars Pale Waves will play the BBC’s Sound Of 2018 Live event alongside Sigrid, Not3s, Yxng Bane and Rex Orange County.

Years & Years, who were crowned winners of the BBC’s 2015 Sound Of vote, will also perform live at the show, which takes place on January 30 at Maida Vale Studios.

Sigrid was named this year’s winner earlier this month. Catch up on Music Week’s On The Radar with the Norwegian star here.

Annie Mac will host on the night, with the show also broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 from 7-9pm.

Fans can register for tickets from 8pm today (January 15) until 8pm on Thursday, January 18.

BBC Music Sound of 2018 Live marks the first event under this banner, and replaces Radio 1’s Future Festival, which in 2017 saw sets from Dave, Jorja Smith and The Amazons.

Annie Mac said: “Sound Of 2018 Live is one of the first opportunities to see and hear some of the most exciting new artists in 2018.  There is a performer on this line-up for everyone and I’m really looking forward to having them all perform at Maida Vale live on the show. Having the brilliant returning winners Years & Years on the line-up is an added bonus!”

Pale Waves said: “We’re really excited to be a part of the gig celebrating the BBC Sound of 2018.  It's an honour to be included in the list, and will be a great start to the year for us!”

Sigrid added: “I’m very excited to perform at the prestigious Maida Vale Studios alongside some great artists. Can’t Wait!”

Yxng Bane said: “Thank you Radio 1! Absolute pleasure to celebrate BBC Sound Of by performing alongside other fresh talent! Blessings on everyone who's supporting the boy this far, 2018 working harder for everyone!”

Pale Waves star on the cover of the latest edition of Music Week alongside Catherine McGrath and Mabel. In a 2018 preview special, we run down all the new music, album releases, tours and industry trends set to define the coming year.
