WHO: Casey formed in South Wales after singer Tom Weaver and lead guitarist Liam Torrance left Continents and Hot Damn respectively. Guitarist Toby Evans, bassist Adam Smith and drummer Max Nicolai complete the band’s line-up.

WHAT: Seriously committed hardcore with plenty of heart. Casey operate under the mission statement, ‘We have no grand design, music is a labour of love’. They also tour – hard.

HARDCORE WITH HEART?

If you like your heavy music served with feeling, invest in Casey. Second record Where I Go When I Am Sleeping came out last month on Full Time Hobby, and tracks such as Phosphenes, Fluorescents and The Funeral thrash with elegance.

NICE. WHEN ARE THEY TOURING?

Casey are just about to wrap up a month on the road in the UK and Europe, during which time they’ve barely stopped for a day off. They hit Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham this week.

SO WHAT’S NEXT?
Look out for more dates later this year...
