Alan Pell has been elevated to director of A&R at EMI:Chrysalis, in recognition of the growth of his role since he joined a year ago.

Pell, who has been A&R executive since February last year, has signed acts including Esta, Hell is for Heroes and D-Mac to the label. EMI:Chrysalis managing director Mark Collen says the move brings Pell's title in line with his developing responsibilities over the past year.
