Laylo launches AI-powered live artist discovery feature to boost ticket sales

Digital marketing platform Laylo has launched Discovery Agent to help boost ticket sales.

Fans opt in to Laylo directly and get one text a month with nearby shows from artists they already listen to. Each link goes to whatever ticketing platform the artist uses. Artist and event owned lists are not shared.

Artists on Laylo add a Spotify link and their dates, which then links to the platform’s Discovery Agent.

Laylo said it has reached more than 90 million fans and driven more than $1 billion in sales across tickets, merch and content. More than 10,000 artists, promoters, and events use Laylo, including Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, Olivia Dean, Noah Kahan and Outside Lands.

Over the past year, Laylo’s tech has helped to recover abandoned merch carts and collect the content fans capture at shows. The company said that the Discovery Agent grows reach instead of converting fans users already have.

Every artist and event has fans who would buy a ticket tomorrow if they knew the show existed

"Every artist and event has fans who would buy a ticket tomorrow if they knew the show existed," said Alec Ellin, co-founder and CEO of Laylo.

Discovery Agent helps both established and emerging artists. It is live now for all artists on Laylo, on Pro and Enterprise plans.

“CRMs have traditionally helped artists re-engage the fans they already have,” said Sajan Sanghvi, co-founder and CTO of Laylo. “We’ve spent the past year building an audience of fans who want to discover artists they may not know yet. Discovery Agent means every artist on Laylo can now put shows and presales in front of that audience.”

Laylo has also partnered with VIP and pre-sale platform Sound Rink. The collaboration is designed to give artists a better way to boost pre-tour revenue.

“The most challenging part of VIP and pre-sales is marketing, getting them in front of the right people,” said Cody DeLong, co-founder and CEO of Sound Rink. “Laylo is hands down the best platform for reaching fans, and the numbers artists saw when they used it really speak to that. We can’t wait to roll this out to the rest of our artist community and witness their success.”
