Spotify is making podcast listening personalised in the same way it targeted music discovery.
The streaming giant has announced the launch of Your Daily Podcasts, its first daily personalised podcast playlist to help users discover new shows.
In a blog post, Spotify noted that it had already “transformed music discovery” with personalised playlists such as Discover Weekly and Daily Mix.
Podcasting is a key part of Spotify’s growth strategy. However, labels are less happy about the way it reduces the reliance on licensed music repertoire.

Spotify has launched its own podcasts as well as hosting content from the BBC and other providers.
