UnitedMasters has strengthened its executive leadership team with multiple senior hires as the independent artist platform continues to grow its roster.
Todd L Perry II will serve as VP, head of artist and label marketing, while Luca Zanello becomes head of brand & sync. Meanwhile, Goldie Harris is named head of commerce and Jason Peerless is appointed VP, artist & label operations.
Perry joins from Warner Records, where he served as VP, head of artist and label marketing, working with artists including Veeze, Alex Isley, Syd, Rusowsky and LIHTZ.
At New York-headquartered UnitedMasters, Perry will be tasked with leading efforts to "scale and modernise" the marketing organisation, strengthen cross-functional systems and processes and further position the company to support independent artists on a global scale.
“I’m thrilled to join the UnitedMasters team," he said. "For years, I’ve admired the company and what they’ve meant to the landscape of modern music. I’m excited to continue to carry the torch and help mould and develop the next generation of superstar artists and rising executives.”
Leading the firm's brand partnerships division, Zanello will help drive strategic collaborations across advertising, film, television, gaming and global brands, while creating new sync and commercial opportunities for independent artists. He brings more than 20 years of experience, having held leadership roles at The Orchard, Roc Nation and MSM Group.

Elsewhere, Harris – who has led global commerce and platform strategies across the US, Africa, and Latin America – will oversee the company's global commerce strategy, creating new revenue opportunities for artists while expanding partnerships and initiatives "that strengthen UnitedMasters' direct-to-fan ecosystem".
Peerless, who is fresh from a 12-year stint at Universal Music Group, including 10 years at Def Jam Recordings, where he oversaw A&R operations, will lead operational strategy across UnitedMasters' artist and label services.
“We're excited to welcome this exceptional group to UnitedMasters as we continue redefining what independence looks like,” said UnitedMasters CEO Steve Stoute. “These hires reflect our continued investment in the infrastructure, partnerships, and talent needed to help artists build sustainable careers on their own terms, especially this year as we are achieving milestones within the global music sector of the business.”
The self-serve distribution platform and record label works with artists including Brent Faiyaz, BigXthaPlug and FloyyMenor, and says it is expanding its "community-driven, partnership-first approach to better serve independent artists across genres and markets".
Recent additions to its global roster include La Reezy, Grace Carter, Kid Apollo and Elise Elvira.
“Witnessing our artists reach new levels of success, while having control of their masters, drives everything we do across the music division,” said VP of A&R Jesse Morav. “The momentum we've seen with our global roster this year alone is a reflection of the incredible talent these artists possess, and the team’s commitment to providing excellence in strategy, support, and opportunities to create an impact and achieve their vision.”
