"I'm honoured to join such an innovative, artist-first company": AWAL hires Aaron Bogucki as VP of digital marketing

AWAL, Kobalt’s recordings company, has today (May 2) announced it has hired Aaron Bogucki as vice president, digital marketing. Bogucki will be based in AWAL’s London Office and will oversee digital marketing campaigns for the AWAL roster as well as driving digital marketing strategy. In March, Kobalt expanded AWAL with a $150m investment.

Speaking about the appointment, AWAL CEO, Lonny Olinick said: “The addition of the highly-talented Bogucki is a key part in our aggressive global hiring plan to support AWAL’s growing roster of artists. AWAL artists have access to some of the best minds in the industry to help them get to the next level, and adding Bogucki highlights our commitment to doubling down here.”

AWAL general manager, Paul Trueman, added: “I’m thrilled to welcome Aaron to the AWAL Recordings team. Aaron’s innovative outlook, in-depth knowledge, and expertise in the ever-evolving digital landscape will be invaluable to us as we grow our roster of independent artists such as Lauv, Tom Misch, the Wombats, Laura Marling, and Bruno Major.”

Bogucki, a former vice president, digital marketing at Republic Records, previously worked with the Weeknd, Post Malone, James Bay, Ariana Grande, Florence + the Machine, Liam Payne.

Speaking about his new role, Bogucki said: “I’m honoured and privileged to join such an innovative, artist-first company at this exciting time in their history. The global marketing team that Paul Hitchman and Paul Trueman have built at AWAL Recordings is world class, and with Willard [Ahdritz, Kobalt music founder & CEO] and Lonny [Olinick, CEO, AWAL]’s clear vision and strategic guidance, I believe we can consistently develop and break independent artists whilst building the record company of the future.”
