PPL chief executive Peter Leathem has told Music Week that international collections are a “considerable growth opportunity” for performers and labels.

PPL has reported a record overall collection of £271.8 million in 2019, a 10% increase on the prior year.

“It’s a very pleasing outcome,” said Leathem. “We’ve had significant growth for many years now. To achieve a 10% increase is testament to how we operate and the quality of our people, data and IT systems.”
