Sigur Ros to play free BST Hyde Park Open House show

Sigur Ros are to perform a free gig as part of Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park's Open House series.

The Icelandic band will present the Liminal Soundbath on the Great Oak Stage from 7pm on Tuesday, July 9 as part of the midweek four-day live music and entertainment programme. Places need to be booked via the BST website.

Other free attractions include open-air cinema nights, drag cabaret, live tennis screenings, yoga classes, street food, pop-up bars and family-oriented fun.

Staged from July 8-11, Open House runs between the two weekends of BST Hyde Park, headlined this year by Celine Dion (July 5), Stevie Wonder (July 6), Barbra Streisand (July 7), and Florence + The Machine/The National (July 13) and Robbie Williams (July 14).

Now in its seventh year, the AEG-promoted concert series has previously welcomed the likes of The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton, Take That, Paul Simon and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
