Snowbombing expands into Canada

By Jennyfer J. Walker

Europe’s largest snow and music festival, Snowbombing, has announced its dates for 2017, plus the launch of Coors Light Snowbombing Canada.

Over the last 18 years, Snowbombing has featured performances from the likes of The Prodigy, Jungle, Rudimental, Bastille, Craig David, Skrillex, Carl Cox, Nina Kraviz, Idris Elba, Kasabian, Skepta, The Chemical Brothers, Chase & Status, Sven Väth, Jamie Jones, Fatboy Slim and more.

Next year will be the first time Snowbombing has ventured out of Europe, with the new event set to take place from April 6-10, 2017, at Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia, while the original, European event takes pace from April 3-8, 2017 in Mayrhofen, Austria.

“20 years ago when we started Snowbombing it was a very distant dream to one day do it in North America,” said Gareth Cooper CEO of Broadwick Live. “Now, with the help of an iconic brand like Coors Light, that dream is to become a reality and we are so proud and excited to be able to launch Snowbombing, Canada in the superbly stunning Sun Peaks resort. Not only is this one of the best ski locations in Canada, but strangely it looks just like our Austrian home, Mayrhofen! We cannot wait to come and share our unique style of après ski and passion for music with the people of Canada.”
