Former EMI executive dies aged 53

EMI has today announced that its former svp legal and business affairs, Shelagh Macleod, has died aged 53 after a long battle against cancer.

Macleod, once one of the most senior female executives in the music industry, died early this morning aged 53.

She had retired from EMI three years ago to focus on her battle against cancer, having worked for EMI and Virgin for two decades. In her final role, she held the title of svp legal and business ...
