Columbia president Rob Stringer was handed The Strat at the Music Week Awards to a standing ovation from industry peers last week.

In his acceptance speech, Stringer paid tribute to acts Sade - who presented the award to the exec personally - and The Manic Street Preachers, who were on hand to close the ceremony with a live performance.
