The strategic partnership, agreed between Strictly Rhythm founder Mark Finkelstein and Defected founder Simon Dunmore, will not only see the entire Strictly Rhythm catalogue made available digitally for the first time, but will also see the label restarting actively, with plans to sign new artists.
In 2000 the label entered into a joint venture with Warner Music, an arrangement that ended two years later with Finkelstein receiving the label's catalogue back as part of a settlement.
