YouTube in 'U-turn' over indie music video cull

YouTube has reportedly temporarily backtracked its plan to pull music videos from its online platform by artists signed to labels that haven't yet signed up to its new licensing terms.

Last month, the streaming platform threatened to start blocking videos on its main platform within “a matter of days”.

However, in the same week that formal proceedings start against YouTube for alleged breach of European competition rules, it is said to have changed its stance.
