Apple Music launches Up Next programme to showcase new talent

Apple Music has launched Up Next, a new programme to identify, showcase and elevate developing artists to a global audience.

Each month, Apple Music will choose a rising artist that its editorial team believes in and utilise all of its resources to give their music visibility to new audiences. Promotion will include a short, introductory documentary film, an audio EP from a live session and an interview on Beats 1.

Its first ever Up Next artist has been unveiled as Atlanta singer, songwriter and rapper 6LACK, who sat down for an interview with Beats 1 presenter Zane Lowe.

Additionally, Apple Music has partnered with The Late Late Show With James Corden to give further exposure to Up Next artists. Each act will also perform one song on the show.
