Un:hurd Music launches rebranded platform including AI for artists

Un:hurd Music has today launched a rebranded and fully upgraded version of its data-driven platform for independent artists.

The relaunch adds a new brand, a rebuilt product and a run of new features to the Un:hurd community of more than 200,000 artists, and it rolls out across iOS, Android and web.

In a statement, Un:hurd said its new platform provides AI tools that “write in an artist's own voice”.

“Artists can now generate a press release, an EPK, sync and brand pitches, bios and more, all shaped to sound like them,” said the statement. “The AI is built to carry an artist's tone of voice pulling in key milestones and data points to tailor the output.”

In addition, there are upgrades to Un:hurd's advertising and playlist pitching services, with further improvements set to arrive during Q3 and Q4.

Other key changes to the platform include the ‘Release Cycles’ tool becoming ‘Planning Cycles’. The feature now runs on ‘smart plans’ built around what an artist is actually trying to do. Every plan gives artists a clear path to follow via the in-app notes.

Instead of visualising an artist's numbers over time, the new Insights tool turns those numbers into summaries and specific actions, rather than a static dashboard.

Meanwhile, the Fan Hubs feature has been upgraded so that an artist's owned space looks like their brand as soon as a fan lands on it.

Alex Brees, CEO and founder of Un:hurd, said: "We wanted to restructure our tech stack so we could build faster than ever before, without compromising the depth or quality of our product. We did that, and our output is up six times. Combine that with the product upgrades and a brand refresh, and we're launching something that feels and acts like a completely fresh product. We built it with our 200,000 strong community, so it's artist-first at every point."
