We’d recorded our first album, but nothing happened with it, so EMI in Germany told us, ‘If you write a Christmas song we might get you on the radio.’ I wrote the song, It Must Have Been Love (Christmas For The Broken Hearted), but the label didn’t like it and didn’t even release it, so we basically forgot about it. Then the next album Look Sharp! came out and we had international success.
