Sony Music Publishing Nigeria has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with songwriter and artist Ladipoe.
The deal will include all catalogue and future works written by the rapper.
Ladipoe’s global following stems from releases including Know You featuring Simi, Feeling featuring BNXN, Running featuring Fireboy DML, No Level featuring Pa Salieu and Big Energy.
Released in July 2026, Ladipoes’s new album Revival builds on his contribution to Nigeria’s evolving rap and Afropop landscape.
“Revival represents a new chapter for me, both creatively and personally,” said Ladipoe. “I’ve always believed that African songwriting and lyricism can resonate far beyond where it was created without losing what makes it ours. I’m excited to have Sony Music Publishing as a partner for this next chapter, and to keep pushing the music, and myself further. But you knew that.”

“The signing of Ladipoe is part of our continued commitment at Sony Music Publishing to partner with and invest in exceptional African songwriters and artists whose creativity has the power to transcend borders,” said Uzor Daniel, director, A&R and operations, Sony Music Publishing Nigeria. “We are thrilled to welcome Ladipoe to our global family and to build on the incredible body of work he has already created, while supporting the next chapter of his songwriting and creative journey. I have no doubt that the best is still ahead.”
Emmanuel Egwere, manager for Ladipoe, said: “Ladipoe’s music has always been built around words that connect and stay with people. This partnership with Sony Music Publishing gives ‘Lifelines’ [the artist’s own description of his style of rapping] greater reach and creates new opportunities for his songwriting, giving it room to travel further.”
Recent accolades for Ladipoe include winning Headie Awards for Best Rap Single for Feeling and Best Collaboration for Know You, as well as being recognised with a BET Hip Hop Award nomination for Best International Flow in 2026.
