BRIT refresh: Music industry braced for 'progressive' 2020 awards ceremony
BPI and BRIT Awards chief executive Geoff Taylor has promised a spectacular show following a revamp of the ceremony, while addressing the lack of female nominees this year.
The event at The O2 (February 18) features major changes by showrunner David Joseph, Universal Music UK CEO/chairman.
The 2016 overhaul of the BRITs voting academy to promote diversity has helped the event avoid the media storm faced by other awards shows, such as this year’s Grammys and BAFTAs.
