Insight TV has partnered with immersive music creator Timeless to broadcast a series of live concerts that combine iconic Montreux Jazz Festival film footage with live performances from emerging artists.
Insight TV will be the exclusive, global broadcast partner for the events, which will take place as soon as Swiss venues reopen this summer. The event series featuring small-scale live performances and iconic archive footage was launched last year in response to the pandemic.
Based in Amsterdam and with offices in New York and Los Angeles, Insight TV is a global channel provider, content producer, distributor and format seller, as well as a linear channel distributed through Smart TV and OTT platforms.
Contemporary artists including Neal Sugarman, Annie Taylor and Sam Himself will perform from various intimate, yet secure, Zurich-based music venues, in an experience designed to take audiences and viewers on an immersive musical journey. Timeless is a Zurich start-up that has secured access to the Montreux Jazz Festival archive.
Surrounded by screens projecting legendary live performances from the festival, each artist will blend their own music with that from at least one legend, such as BB King, Etta James, James Brown, Nina Simone and Johnny Cash. Highlighting the cultural importance of the archival sessions, each Timeless concert will feature a host who will provide historical context.
