Still Swingin': Official Albums Chart turns 60
The Official Albums Chart will turn 60 in July, with the Official Charts Company planning an array of celebrations for the anniversary.
Frank Sinatra’s Songs For Swingin’ Lovers became Britain’s first ever No.1 album when the inaugural Albums Chart was published in Record Mirror on July 22, 1956. There have now been nearly 1,100 No.1 albums.
