The eighth annual ceremony which is set to take place at Stationers' Hall in London on November 30, finds more than a third of nominees under 33 years-old.
A total of 11 female composers have also been shortlisted, including Anna Clyne, Sasha Siem, Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Judith Bingham, Sally Beamish and Cecilia McDowall.
