SoundExchange announce new development role for Richard Conlon

SoundExchange have appointed Richard Conlon as their new chief corporate development officer. 

Having previously held the position of chief external affairs officer, Conlon will now oversee the royalty collector’s attempts to expand into new lines of services for labels, artists, music publishers and licensees.

SoundExchange president and CEO Michael Huppe announced the new appointment, explaining: "Richard's leadership in the music industry makes him the ideal person to help drive our strategy to grow SoundExchange into a diversified portfolio of companies and services for the entire industry." 

Conlon added that he would lead effort to speed up the services SoundExchange could supply to the music industry. 

"SoundExchange is helping re-order the business of music by creating solutions that facilitate royalty distributions to music creators, setting standards and service levels that the industry can rely upon," he said. "SoundExchange is committed to innovation and growth delivered at the speed of digital."
