Dolly Parton's 9 To 5 and Jolene lead UK Singles Chart midweeks
Dolly Parton currently holds the top two spots on the UK Singles Chart, as interest in her back catalogue continues to surge following her passing.
According to the Official Charts Company’s Midweek Sales Flash, Parton’s 1980 hit 9 To 5 leads the way with 12,182 sales, narrowly ahead of her 1976 classic Jolene, which has 12,095 sales. Her 1984 duet with Kenny Rogers, Islands In The Stream, also climbs into the Top 10 at No.7 (9,681 sales).
