Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish were among the big winners at the MTV VMA Awards 2019 last night (August 26).
The ceremony was hosted by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco and took place at Newark's Prudential Center. Swift, Grande and Eilish each claimed three awards.
Swift scored the Video Of the Year and Video For Good Awards for You Need To Calm Down, as well as Best Visual Effects for Me!. Grande won Artist Of The Year as well as Song Of The Summer for Boyfriend and Best Art Direction for 7 Rings. Eilish scored Best New Artist, Push Artist Of The Year and Best Editing for the Bad Guy video.
Elsewhere, hip-hop legend Missy Elliott accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus scooped Song Of The Year for the Old Town Road (Remix) and Cardi B claimed Best Hip Hop.
Performers on the night included Taylor Swift, Lizzo, Normani and Miley Cyrus.
