The rock community mourns Motörhead guitarist

Today (January 11) Motörhead have confirmed the death of their legendary former guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke. In a post made on their official Facebook account, Clarke was reported to have “passed peacefully in hospital where he was being treated for pneumonia”.

As a member of Motörhead, Clarke contributed to some of the most influential rock records of all time, including their self-titled 1977 debut, 1979’s Overkill and 1980’s Ace Of Spades. Clarke left the band in 1982.

The remaining members of Motörhead announced they would stop touring and releasing albums following the death of Lemmy in December 2015.
