The application deadline for the UK Artist Touring (UKAT) fund has been extended by 48 hours.
Due to demand and incoming requests, the deadline has been pushed back to 11.59pm on Sunday (September 13).
“This is an additional opportunity for artists or their representatives to submit a proposal for consideration – ensuring that UKAT’s support for live music reaches all artists, from all genres, backgrounds, and regions of the UK,” said a statement.

“However, we were also conscious that this second round coincides with one of the more hectic times of the year, with many artists, managers and agents working long hours at UK and European festivals. As a result, we’ve decided to extend the application window by 48 hours – hopefully giving those who have contacted us directly the time they need to finish their submissions.”

Launched in partnership with the Music Managers Forum (MMF) and Musicians’ Union (MU) in March 2026, UKAT was established to provide ‘top up’ financial support to cover shortfalls in touring budgets. The fund aims to address wider economic challenges in the UK’s live music market.
After making the first distributions in April 2026 – with 26 artists across the UK receiving targeted investment – UKAT will now distribute the proceeds of a further £300,000 collected by the LIVE Trust from voluntary ticket contributions at large-scale music events, including shows by Harry Styles, Bicep, Take That, Wolf Alice, Lorde, Kasabian, Radiohead, Jessie Ware, Basement Jaxx and Duran Duran.
In phase two, artists can apply for up to a maximum of £8,000 (or up to a maximum of 40% of total eligible tour expenditure), as well as a combination of headline, support and festival shows. Unconfirmed/tentative show bookings can also be included in funding applications.
To qualify, tours must have a minimum of three UK headline shows in venues of between 75 and 2,000 capacity. Shows must be completed by April 30, 2027, and all artists, musicians, managers and crew involved must receive fair and reasonable pay – covering show days, travel days and rehearsal time.
An additional Access Fund is also available to help cover access-related, caring or childcare costs, while the FAC has partnered with the Northern Music Export Office (NMEO), to increase UKAT support for artists based in in the North East, Tees Valley and West Yorkshire.
