Amazon Music’s Black British music playlisting and content hub +44 has unveiled a month of special programming to celebrate Caribbean music and culture, marking Carnival season across the UK.
The +44 platform will present a special performance from dancehall and reggae legend Shaggy. Performing Lottery, the title track from his recent album, the exclusive live recording is the latest in the video series from +44 and will be available to stream on Amazon Music and watch online on Shaggy’s YouTube channel.
Exclusively for +44, Shaggy will take fans through a rare track-by-track of his new music and hit records. Available to listen only on the Amazon Music app, Shaggy provides personal commentary on 15 selected songs that have shaped his artistic identity and cultural influence, including Boombastic, Angel, In The Summertime and Oh Carolina, as well as newer releases.
Shaggy has sold more than 40 million albums in addition to landing four No.1 UK singles. The two-time Grammy Award winning reggae/dancehall star is one of the most listened to Caribbean artists in the UK on Amazon Music. Shaggy’s +44 performance of Lottery and track-by-track will be available to watch and stream on Amazon Music from Monday, August 17.
Caribbean music fans can also enjoy a brand new Amazon Music Original from Triniboi Joocie. The Trinidad-born, UK-based artist is one of Soca’s key ambassadors in the UK. Joining forces with Grammy -winning producer Seani B, Triniboi Joocie’s After Road (Amazon Music Original) is available to stream on Amazon Music now.
Later in the month, Amazon Music will partner with Caribbean music creators, record label and event production company BrukOut to host an exclusive Carnival Afterparty at Bush Hall. Fans have the opportunity to win tickets for the August 30 event.
The invite-only party will be hosted by Barrie Hype and Seani B and include DJ sets from Seani B, DJ Puffy, Izzy Bossy, DJ Tate, Macyy Jadee and Jada Pink, as well as performances from TriniBoi Joocie and Tony Matterhorn. A competition for tickets on the Amazon Music UK Instagram page runs until August 20.
To celebrate Caribbean culture and music, +44 has curated a series of dedicated playlists spotlighting reggae, dancehall, lovers rock, soca, calypso and more. Amazon Music UK will feature the Notting Hill Carnival playlist, +44 Caribbean playlist, Soca Hits playlist, ReDiscover Dancehall Classics playlist, ReDiscover Shaggy playlist and much more.
Meanwhile, to mark its 60th anniversary, Notting Hill Carnival has launched a range of anniversary merch on-demand via Amazon.
Launched by Amazon Music UK in 2020, +44 now spans a flagship playlist, podcast, original video content, live shows and artist development initiatives.
The 2026 Caribbean music month programming builds on +44's ongoing commitment to championing Caribbean artists and cultural moments throughout the year.
Amazon Music was the official digital streaming partner of the MOBO Awards 2026 earlier this year.
