The Official Charts Company’s newly launched intelligence platform is “is the most significant development to its services yet”.
Official Charts PRO, which offers “unparalleled access to the data behind the UK’s charts”, launches today (September 21) for UK and Irish music data, with UK home entertainment following on September 24.
“This will transform how businesses can access and use Official Charts data,” said interim co-MD Chris Austin. “Whether you are an artist planning a release, a manager assessing a campaign or a distributor reviewing a film’s performance, our aim is to put trusted data at the heart of those decisions.”
Official Charts PRO opens up more of that intelligence to our clients – taking an already comprehensive offering and making it more accessible, flexible and actionable

Fellow interim co-MD Becca Monahan said: “The weekly charts are the most visible expression of our data, but the detail behind them supports decisions across the music and home entertainment industries every day. Official Charts PRO opens up more of that intelligence to our clients – taking an already comprehensive offering and making it more accessible, flexible and actionable.”
The new platform provides direct access to the Official Charts Company’s sales data and enables users to track performance across artists, tracks and film titles and understand changes in consumption.
It draws on sales and streaming data supplied directly by DSP and retail partners, with the Official Charts Company capturing “more than 99% of UK music consumption and over 90% of physical and digital home entertainment transactional sales”.
Music companies using the service will be able to analyse both daily track streams to market-wide trends, with the platform housing data on all chart-registered artists releasing in the UK.

Recent findings by the OCC show that 65% of UK No.1 albums in 2025 first reached the top spot with physical sales accounting for the majority of their chart units that week, with physical sales accounting for an average of 60% of the chart units behind the UK’s No.1 albums across that year.
Meanwhile, a third of 2025’s UK Top 20 singles came from artists that had started releasing music within the past five years. At the same time, the proportion of artists in the Top 20 that saw their first charting single within the previous three years tripled from 10% in 2023 to 30% in 2025.
