Disney Music Group encompasses Disney's recorded music and music publishing operations. Under two record labels, Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records, Disney Music Group distributes award-winning original music and motion picture soundtracks, showcasing a roster of artists and musical acts in a range of genres. We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Disney Music team on a 6 month contract basis.
As our Project Manager you will be responsible for the following:
Relationship Management
- Key relationship management with licensees, regional and local Disney sales, marketing and franchise stakeholders
- Relationship management for EMEA ‘Music Ambassadors’ and other local market colleagues and stakeholders
- Partnership building with external vendors and agencies and live promoters
- Responsible for selected projects across both Hollywood Records and Walt Disney Records
- Management of music within key Disney franchises
Marketing & Project Management
- Implementation of EMEA music strategy for projects including catalogue and audio products
- Support the planning of launches, campaigns and promotional activity in conjunction with licensee and stakeholders
- Manage windowing and profiling of music content within “owned” and “earned” media as well as scheduling product releases accordingly)
- Manage promotional artist/talent trips and events in conjunction with PR stakeholders in DC, Studios and DMG BBK. Oversee promo schedule and ensure implementation in market of agreed activities
- Ensure regular accurate approval processes are in place on artwork, local product development, and creative marketing assets
- Ensure best practice marketing, working with licensee and stakeholders to develop best possible tools, assets and implementation
- Communicate regularly with Disney stakeholders to update on forthcoming releases and campaigns etc
- P&L responsibility for managing spend on marketing budget set out by Senior Manager
Administration
- Management of UK Official Charts Company system
- Updating and distributing release schedules on a weekly basis
- Office management and point person for Facilities
- Dealing with general enquiries relating to Disney Music from the public and 3rd parties Basic Qualifications
You will join us with previous experience in the music business, preferably within a major music company. You will have solid experience in Product/Project management and have the ability to build strong business relationships. You will have experience working in international product launches and experience of international brand and franchise properties. You will have previous experience in a busy administrative role. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
