Key Production Group opens Hamburg office following 'significant growth' across EU division

Key Production Group has unveiled significant growth in its EU division.

Launched in 2024, Key Production EU was established to bring the physical music agency’s manufacturing and packaging expertise to the European market. Since its launch with a base in Germany, the division has recorded a 97.7% compound monthly growth rate, after expanding its services to clients across Germany, France, Denmark, Belgium, Italy, Spain and more.

The continued growth has prompted Key Production EU to expand its presence in Germany with a new Hamburg office. Felix Horstmann has joined the team as account manager, where he will oversee projects from the initial receipt of artwork through to delivery of the finished product.

Andreas Kohl, European operations manager at Key Production, said: “Since launching in 2024, we’ve seen strong demand for our services across Europe, reflecting the continued importance of physical formats. Establishing a presence in Hamburg is the next step in strengthening our European offering and bringing us closer to the clients we work with.”

Neil Gibbons, chief operating officer at Key Production Group, said: “Our European division has grown significantly over the past two years, both in terms of our client base and the scale of projects we’re delivering. The new Hamburg office gives us a stronger base from which to support that growth, while Felix’s appointment adds further expertise to the team. It’s an important step as we continue to build Key’s presence across the European market.”

The European division gives clients access to Key Production Group’s wider supply chain, alongside project management, quality control and expertise across the production and delivery of physical music.

The team also supports clients with the global release strategies and the complexities of European exports and VAT requirements.

Key Production Group is involved in a number of international initiatives focused on improving sustainability across the physical music sector, including the Vinyl Alliance Sustainability Working Group, the Vinyl Record Manufacturers Association Sustainability Group and the IMPALA Sustainability Task Force. The company is also a supporter of the Music Climate Pact.

To celebrate the opening of its Hamburg office, Key Production EU will host a reception during the Reeperbahn Festival on September 17 (2-6pm at Key Production EU, Stresemannstr. 110, Hamburg).
