Redeye hails international growth as it marks 30 years in business

Redeye Worldwide has reported significant international growth as it celebrates 30 years in business.

Founded in 1996, Redeye offers independent labels a long-term distribution partner across physical and digital formats.

Executives from the distribution and music services company and owner Exceleration Music recently spoke exclusively to Music Week about their vision for further expansion.

Since its acquisition by Exceleration in 2023, Redeye’s physical and digital revenues outside the US have grown by 50%. That growth is credited to its teams in London, Berlin, Gothenburg, Sydney and Montreal, which work alongside Redeye’s established US business, where it distributes physical releases for Beggars Group, Domino, Ninja Tune, Warp, Stones Throw and others.

Glenn Dicker and Tor Hansen, co-founders at Redeye, said: “Having a strong global footprint has continued to be a goal for us. We've continued to listen to our label partners to better understand their business needs and have worked hard to grow in that direction. Working with some of the best indie labels out there has been a real honour and we are excited to expand our level of service on a worldwide basis.”

In the UK, Redeye’s revenues have doubled in the past three years, following investment in staff and infrastructure across its local operations, including partnering with Lasgo to handle UK physical music fulfilment in 2024. The firm also relocated Jill Wheeler from New York to London as international business & label development manager in 2025.

Redeye has secured worldwide deals with UK labels including Killer Candy Records and Untitled (Recs), and also helped deliver chart success for Cooking Vinyl, including four UK Top 5 albums over the past 18 months with Blue’s Reflections, Callum Beattie’s INDI, James Morrison’s Fight Another Day and Embrace’s Avalanche.

Redeye has also expanded its capabilities across the DACH region, partnering with Bertus in 2024 to handle physical music fulfilment across multiple European territories, strengthening support for Redeye’s Germany-based roster, which includes !K7, City Slang, Grönland Records, Bronzerat Records, Duchess Box Records, Analog Africa and Denovali.

In the Nordics, Redeye acquired Swedish distributor Border Music in 2019, growing its footprint across the region. The operation now represents more than 400 local labels, including Subliminal Sounds, Superpuma Records and Karisma.

Meanwhile, in Australia, Redeye signed Third Eye Stimuli in 2025, taking its APAC-based roster to 15 labels, including Wing Sing Records and Barely Dressed.

Redeye, which began selling downloads via Yep Roc Records in 2006, now handles worldwide digital distribution for established labels including Daptone Records, supporting UK-based soul breakthrough Jalen Ngonda, whose June 2026 album, Doctrine Of Love, generated 1.8 million streams in its first week.

Together, Redeye and Exceleration's combined YouTube network has more than doubled to 113 channels and added 280,000 subscribers in 18 months, while YouTube revenues grew 23% in 2025 and are on track to rise a further 18% in 2026.

“Reaching 30 years is an incredible milestone and testament to the business Glenn, Tor and the Redeye team have built," added Amy Dietz, partner at Exceleration Music. "Since Redeye joined Exceleration, our role has been to build on those foundations, providing additional resources and expertise to accelerate their ambitions while preserving the independence, culture and personal service that made Redeye successful in the first place. The international growth we’re seeing today shows the strength of that partnership, and we’re excited about what comes next.”
