Coalition Agency appoints MD and creative director

Coalition Agency has announced the appointment of a new MD and creative director.

Anthony Norris has joined the London-based live entertainment booking agency, brand consultant and event curator as managing director, while Owen Kent has been appointed creative director. Both previously worked at Music Plus Sport. 

Former Coda Agency MD Claire Horseman has also joined the company as a non-executive director. 

Norris has over 20 years’ experience working with entertainment businesses such as Live Nation, MTV and Endemol. He worked on London 2012 where he led the executive team behind the Olympic Park Spectator Experience Programme.

Owen Kent started his career with Festival Republic. He has worked on major festivals such as Reading, Latitude, Electric Picnic, Orlando Calling and Glastonbury. 

The pair met during London 2012 and co-founded Eleven 11 Events, where they went on to produce events and UK tours including The Coronation Festival Gala at Buckingham Palace and Girl Effect Live, an urban festival for The Nike Foundation. In 2015, Eleven 11 Events entered into a JV with Music Plus Sport to focus on promoting and producing events both independently and for global rights holders.

Kent added: “Having worked closely with Guy and the Coalition team as a talent buyer, I have first-hand experience that they are smart operators. After discussing their long-term strategy, there was a great opportunity that I wanted to be a part of.  I’ll be working with the current portfolio and expanding into new territories, whilst creating new products to take to market.”
