Organisers of the TK Maxx presents Live At The Piece Hall series have reported record-breaking sales.
Co-promoters The Piece Hall Trust and Cuffe and Taylor said 225,000 tickets were sold for this year’s 42 headline shows from acts including David Byrne, McFly, Tom Jones, Garbage, Scissor Sisters, Skunk Anansie, The Beach Boys, Turnstile, Paul Weller, CMAT, plus many more.
Box office records have been smashed for the fifth straight year at the historic Halifax venue, delivering a multi-million-pound boost for the local Calderdale economy.
Ticket sales were up by 40,000 compared to last year’s record result with 28 shows sold out.
Fans travelled to The Piece Hall from 68 countries with 81% of tickets bought by people from outside Halifax. Some 45% of ticket buyers were new customers to The Piece Hall.
Plans for next year’s series are underway with the first 2027 headliner set to be announced as early as next week.

Peter Taylor, co-founder of Cuffe and Taylor, who have programmed shows at the venue since 2022, said: “What a summer! A Grade I listed architectural and cultural building, The Piece Hall is now an award-winning contemporary cultural, heritage and live entertainment destination which has welcomed more than 20 million visitors since it re-opened to the public in 2017.
