The Spice Girls sign with CAA

Talent agency CAA has re-signed the Spice Girls for representation in all areas worldwide.

The legendary girl group, who reunited for a 13-date stadium tour of the UK & Ireland earlier this year, grossing more than $78.2 million (£61m), were previously repped by UTA and the switch will add to speculation about future live dates.

Managed by XIX Entertainment boss Simon Fuller in partnership with Modest!’s Richard Griffiths and Harry Magee, the Spice Girls have sold more than 85 million records worldwide, making them the most successful female British pop group in history. Their debut album, Spice, is certified 10x platinum and is the best-selling pop album by a female group.

They are also the only group to have two simultaneous Top 10 albums, Spice and Spiceworld, in the Billboard album charts. The LPs have sold 2,984,879 and 1,603,426 copies in the UK, respectively, according to the Official Charts Company.

In 1997, the Spice Girls became the most merchandised group in music history, earning more than $400m (£312m) that year alone.
