Former Capitol Records GM launches new music marketing agency Emerging Behaviour

Former Capitol Records General Manager Murray Rose has today (July 9) announced the launch of a new music marketing agency christened Emerging Behaviour.

According to an official press release, the full service music marketing agency will offer “managers, artists and labels a dedicated 360 creative, marketing, digital and project management solution.”

The agency is open to non-UK labels and management teams looking for a London-based marketing hub to expand their European story.

Rose was previously general manager at Capitol Records where he helped break Sam Smith, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Liam Payne. Prior to Capitol Records, Rose was marketing director at RCA and Epic where he originated campaigns for Aloe Blacc, Bring Me The Horizon, Imogen Heap, JLS, Kodaline, Laura Mvula, Olly Murs, Paloma Faith, Rebecca Ferguson, Scouting For Girls & The Priests.

He started his career in the independent sector at Big Life working with Damage, De La Soul, Gala, Killing Joke, Snow Patrol, The Verve, Nigel Kennedy and The Orb.

The press release stated that Emerging Behaviour will work with “artists, managers and labels to create bespoke marketing campaigns focused on longterm strategy, content, digital and streaming to build global audiences.”

Speaking about the launch, Emerging Behaviour’s Founder, Murray Rose, said: “Having worked with so many incredible artists over the years, in both the independent and major label sectors, we understand  the different needs and intricacies that each campaign requires. They’re never the same and it’s not one size fits all. That’s why Emerging Behaviour creates bespoke artist campaigns that use compelling content, digital innovation, distribution and promotion that always stay true to the voice of the artist while helping them grow their audience. A developing artist might just need digital support, while an established artist might need a multi-faceted campaign that spans the globe. Emerging Behaviour can help with all briefs and react in an incredibly quick, creative and agile way.”
