New edition of Music Week out now

Kano stars on the cover of the new issue of Music Week as we go deep into his upcoming album Hoodies All Summer with the legendary MC and his team.

Due via Parlophone on August 30, Hoodies All Summer seeks to define a moment in time, as Kano documents the streets of Britain in 2019. In an uncompromising interview, we chart the rapper’s journey through the music industry.

Long-time manager Richard Thomas and Parlophone co-president Nick Burgess weigh in too, as we uncover what Kano means to the major’s new era.

Also inside this week, there’s a special report on arenas featuring the sector’s biggest names, and we visit Brighton’s Resident Music, who won the Indie Retailer category at the Music Week Awards back in May.

Stardust are in Hitmakers to tell the story of their 1998 smash – and one and only single – Music Sounds Better With You. Hip-hop legend Slick Rick takes on The Aftershow.

We analyse the shifting market shares in the vinyl world in Big Story, while there’s big news on Mercury success for Partisan, AWAL and Domino Publishing. We also learn what the biz can look forward to when Love Island returns.

Syco’s LA-based boy band Prettymuch are On The Radar, electronic pop trio Half Alive feature in Making Waves and a certain Brad Pitt pops up in Sync Story. We also bring the latest hard-hitting edition of Sammy Andrews’ digital column.

Alongside all that, we bring you all the latest news, charts and analysis. To subscribe and never miss a music biz story, click here.
