Deezer 'could be acquired by Microsoft', say sources

Deezer could be acquired by Microsoft, according to reports citing insiders.

Sources close to Digital Music News say that the technology giant could snap up the streaming service to improve its standing in the digital music sphere.

While the two companies “aren’t in deep negotiations at this point,” according to the insider, “it’s definitely on the table."

The news comes alongside reports from the same sources that suggest that Deezer will “definitely” launch in the US in January next year ...
