Concord Music Publishing has signed Mercury Prize-nominated composer and producer Floating Points – the musical project of Sam Shepherd – to a worldwide publishing agreement.
The deal covers future works including his new album Mere Mortals, which was released today (August 28).
A musical retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Pandora, the work made its debut at San Francisco Ballet in January 2024, accompanied by choreography from Aszure Barton. UK performances are set for the Edinburgh International Festival on August 28-30, followed by a four-night run at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London from September 9-12.

In a joint statement, Tom Deffee and Carol Crabtree at Solar Management said: "We're delighted to join forces with Concord. Floating Points' best-selling album is his 2015 debut Elaenia, which has sales of 18,749 sales according to the Official Charts Company. Follow-up Crush (2019) charted in the UK Top 40 and has current sales of 17,859.
