Helix Records & Payday Publishing has officially opened its new European hub in central London.
“Located in a six-story Georgian townhouse in Marylebone, the new complex has been purpose-built to offer a fully integrated, music-focused environment designed to support long-term artist and songwriter development,” said a statement.
The New York-headquartered independent’s 6,000 square foot London facility incorporates offices, recording studios, events and performance spaces, dedicated songwriting rooms and content creation areas.
Founded by CEO Patrick Moxey, Helix Records represents artists including Ar/Co, Jamie Jones, Shimza, Marshall Jefferson and others, while Payday Music Publishing represents more than 80,000 copyrights and publishes works recorded by artists such as Post Malone, Future, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Kanye West, Don Toliver, Blackpink, Drake, Kygo, Playboi Carti, David Guetta and many others.
Payday Records, founded in 1992, has its roots in hip-hop and was the original label for artists including Jay-Z, Jeru the Damaga, Mos Def, J Dilla and others.
Payday Music Publishing songwriters received 12 nominations across nine categories at the recent Grammy Awards and won the Best Reggae Album award for Fortune’s contribution to Blxxd & Fyah by Keznamdi.
The new London hub was designed and project managed by Bernadette Cruz, director for Payday Music, and Alice Anselmetti, general manager for Payday Music. The building features office space and listening lounges, flexible event spaces for performances and showcases, and content creation rooms for photography, filming and podcasts.
Developed in collaboration with Miloco Studios, the recording rooms feature audio systems including ATC, Augsperger, PMC and Genelec.
The London complex joins Payday and Helix’s existing event spaces in Los Angeles and New York, recently hosting acts such as Louie Vega, Hayla, DJ Premier, Marshall Jefferson, San Holo, BbyClose and others.

“We have always believed in putting artist and songwriter development at the heart of everything we do,” said Patrick Moxey. “When designing our new European base, it was important to create a music-focused environment where creativity could genuinely flourish. I remember coming to London in the ’80s and ’90s, when amazing, creator-friendly companies like Island Records had offices that artists and songwriters actually wanted to work and hang out in.
“I think the industry is in danger of losing that connection with their talent, and we’re fully focused on growing that in-person bond whilst also maximising the digital era, through our studios, content rooms and social media platforms.”
The London launch follows Payday Music’s continued investment in physical creative spaces. The company already operates 20 recording studios worldwide, including six studios in Los Angeles alone, four in Santa Monica and two in Hollywood.

We want this to be a place where talent can develop naturally, collaborations can happen organically, and where great music is made without distraction. This is a significant step forward for Helix and Payday’s artists and writers, and a foundation for the next chapter of our global growth.”
