The Production Music Awards has recognised some of the production industry’s best creative talent. In association with MCPS Production Music, the awards ceremony took place at the Ballroom on Northumberland Avenue, London.
The creative work honoured at the ceremony has been used in films, television and advertising campaigns. It was judged by 30 industry professionals who based their decisions on the entrants’ originality, composition, production quality and the fit to moving image.
Along with the 13 compositions and seven sync winners, the award for the PRS Foundation Award for Best Newcomer was presented to Tim Benjamin (JW Media Music).
The Production Music Awards champions a wide range of genres and covers a cross-section of media platforms including online viral ad campaigns, drama and factual television, and feature film.
Simon James, head of MCPS Production Music, said: “The Production Music Awards is such a great event, and this year once again it has shone the spotlight on the top shelf talent we enjoy in our business – writers, artists, producers, publishers, all working in concert – as well as the quality of their craft and diversity of style and creativity. The Production Music Awards were held in association with MCPS Production Music and sponsored by PRS for Music, PRS Foundation, The Musicians’ Union, Spitfire Audio and production collective, WMP.
