Deezer is introducing new measures that will allow users to exclude fully AI-generated music on the platform.
The Paris-based streaming company introduced the “world’s first AI tagging system for music streaming” last year, clearly displaying which albums include fully AI generated tracks, and also launched a free online AI music detector, covering multiple DSPs, this summer.
It is now building on those measures with a new toggle button that enables music fans to filter out AI-generated music completely.
We’ve seen a clear user demand for the ability to filter out AI-generated music

“The explosion of AI-generated content continues to impact the whole music ecosystem, and we believe in shaping a future based on transparency and choice, with respect for artists, songwriters and music fans," said Deezer CEO Alexis Lanternier. "We remain committed to minimising any negative effects, while empowering our users to control their music experience to the greatest extent.
“We’ve seen a clear user demand for the ability to filter out AI-generated music, and we are now giving everyone the option to remove this content completely from their streaming experience on Deezer, and focus only on human creators and creations, if they wish.”
Deezer says it is receiving nearly 90,000 fully AI-generated tracks every day, accounting for more than 50% of the total daily delivery on peak days.
By activating the new toggle, Deezer users can make sure AI-generated tracks, albums and the related artists are excluded from search results. Users can regain access simply by deactivating the toggle.
The new measures will be introduced globally before the end of 2026.
According to a Deezer/Ipsos study from November, 2025, 45% of music streaming users would like to filter out 100% AI-generated music from their music streaming platform.
Deezer’s AI detection tool, which has been in place since the beginning of 2025, has detected and excluded more than 42 million AI-generated tracks from algorithmic and editorial recommendations. It has also tagged more than 14m albums.
