Spotify: Today's Top Hits reaches 25 million followers

Spotify has revealed that its Today’s Top Hits playlist has passed 25 million followers.

As the world’s biggest playlist, it’s a platform for both emerging and established artists.

Today’s Top Hits features songs from global artists, spanning a variety of genres from pop and Latin, to hip-hop and indie.

Since 2014, Spotify’s curators have analysed music culture, data and trends in order to populate the playlist that updates weekly. It has racked up more than 20 billion streams since launch.

“We are thrilled that Today's Top Hits, the biggest playlist brand in the world, has reached this significant milestone," said Jeremy Erlich, VP, music strategy, Spotify. "We love the reaction that fans and users have for TTH and are thrilled to use it as a platform to highlight artists from all over the world. We are looking forward to the next 25!”

Over 70 artists have received more than 100m streams from being on the playlist. It has helped launch acts including Arizona Zervas, Tones And I and Lewis Capaldi.
