Sony Music Vision has announced that the new Lisa documentary, Always Lalisa, will open in IMAX and cinemas worldwide.
The cinema release will follow the world premiere of Always Lalisa at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival next week.
The limited screenings via Trafalgar Releasing launch on October 12, followed by an exclusive streaming partnership with YouTube Premium later this year. Tickets will be officially on sale for the theatrical release on September 9.
Directed by Sue Kim, the film follows a pivotal year in Lisa’s life, as she steps away from Blackpink for a year of independence.
Sony Music Vision is the film and visual content division of Sony Music Entertainment, dedicated to developing and producing feature documentaries, concert films and visual projects for the company’s frontline and catalogue artists.
Lisa was one of the performers for the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and performed Goals alongside Anitta and Rema. She also performed at Coachella 2025 as a solo act, presented at the 2026 Golden Globes and made her acting debut in HBO’s The White Lotus.
Lisa recently announced her upcoming EP, Press Play, out October 23. The first single, SaWaDika, drops on September 3.
She will also become the first K-pop artist to hold a Las Vegas residency, with her four-show Viva La Lisa run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace (November 13-14 and November 27–28).
