Katy Perry’s hits compilation, The Ones That Got The Plays, has been certified gold in the UK.
The sales milestone arrives as her new concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris, arrives in cinemas.
Distributed by Trafalgar Releasing, the film launches in cinemas and IMAX screens globally across 70 countries on Wednesday (September 2). Countries include the UK & Ireland, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, France and Australia. Screenings will take place in 150 cinemas throughout the UK.
Since charting 16 weeks ago, The Ones That Got The Plays (EMI) has remained in the UK albums Top 20 thanks to consistent streaming. It peaked at No.8 this month and has consumption to date of 103,285 units (Official Charts Company), almost entirely based on streams.
The catalogue strategy for Katy Perry has paid off this year with the US star on 90 million monthly listeners on Spotify, just outside the Top 10 biggest artists on the platform.
The campaign has been led by the reactivation of 2011 single The One That Got Away, which has UK consumption to date of 1,785,589 units (288,807 units in 2026). Capitol released a director’s cut video for the track, which also features in The Lifetimes Tour concert film.

Speaking to Music Week earlier this year, Capitol Music Group chairman & CEO Tom March said that Perry’s streaming consumption was “growing and growing”

The One That Got Away has reached No.24 this year and is chasing its original peak of No.18 from 2012.
Alongside her global touring this year, Perry headlined the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening celebration in Los Angeles.
Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris was filmed across two sold-out nights in Paris during The Lifetimes Tour in November 2025. The concert was captured using a 60-camera set-up in order to create an immersive cinematic event.
