WMG promotes Alex Kamins to global digital business development role

Warner Music Group has announced the promotion of Alex Kamins to VP, global digital business development – innovation & emerging technology.

Kamins will relocate from WMG’s New York headquarters to its Los Angeles office to lead West Coast-based partnerships and drive new digital media and business diversification opportunities.

He will continue to develop partnerships, licensing deals and investments focused on established and emerging digital platforms, new content opportunities, new technologies, and location-based entertainment. He reports to Jeff Bronikowski, SVP, global digital business development - head of innovation & emerging technology.

“We’re always looking to establish partnerships with the most innovative tech companies and start-ups, and for the past several years Alex has played a critical role at WMG by keeping a pulse on what’s new and next in the industry,” said Bronikowski. “His ability to identify and create successful partnerships will be highly valuable to WMG as we solidify our business development team’s presence on the West Coast.”

Kamins was previously senior director, digital strategy & business development, where he led partnerships including the first major label license deals with Musical.ly and Melody VR.
