Total viewing figures at the Beeb were 18.6m, up from 15.4m in 2010, with figures for individual stations also up across the board, for what was the Corporation's most comprehensive festival coverage to date.

Last year actually saw a drop in Glastonbury viewing figures, as a result of the hot weather and the World Cup. The 2010 figure of 15.4m was down about 1m on 2009.
